This candidate is a well round litigation paralegal with 23+ years of Commercial Litigation/Creditor’s Rights/Special Assets experience in a wide scope of commercial civil litigation, from pre-litigation negotiations to the initial lawsuit, discovery, trial preparation, settlement, post-judgment discovery and collections, asset investigation and settlements. Candidate’s creditor’s rights experience includes 23+ years in all aspects of creditors’ rights, adversary proceedings, workouts, claims, etc. – six and a half years prior experience at debtor law firms doing individual, joint and corporate petitions, confirmation preparation, plans and disclosure statements for all chapters. Excellent typist (95+ WPM), with familiarity and ability to operate adding machines, copiers, fax machines, conventional phone equipment, printers, typewriters, etc. Candidate has an excellent grasp of creation and maintenance of filing systems, both alphabetic and numeric, and a general background in bookkeeping, billing, banking and collection procedures, as well as tax record keeping. Expert ability to select and draft legal forms with minimum attorney supervision and a sound command of the English language, its grammar, syntax and style, including an understanding of the conventions of punctuation and capitalization peculiar to law. Strong familiarity with Latin phrases and locutions peculiar to law and excellent spelling and proofreading ability. Computer skills include Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) Adobe Acrobat; Rainmaker; TABS; Timeslips; Aderant; Explorer; Time Matters; Excel; e-Portal; and Pacer. Extensive real estate background including 2.5 years with a title company, doing mortgage foreclosures, transactions, title searches and online research of official records and real property tax records. Candidate’s credit and collections experience includes financial institution and law firms preparing complaints, pleadings and other forms for court. Skip tracing knowledge, and familiarity with Florida’s judgment lien requirements at state and county levels. Lastly this candidate also has family law experience in preparation of dissolution petitions and related documents, including discovery, mediation and final decree. Other experience includes Wills, Estates, Probate, Guardianship, Adoption, Personal Injury, Criminal and Contracts.
